Does A Luxury Gift Have To Be Expensive

Does buying a luxury gift necessarily implicate breaking the bank with a luxury price tag? Indeed, it does not. Luxuries are different things to different people and being wealthy does not always mean that a luxury gift has to be expensive. One of life's most precious commodities is time so maybe carving out some time for a loved one would be the best possible luxury you could treat them with. Or better still, finding a way for them to carve out some time for themselves.

How can this be done? Maybe some time at a health farm being pampered into full relaxation would be a luxury gift to those who are stressed and always busy. This could be anyone from the high flying business person to the housewife and mother who always insists on putting others first. I can vouch for the fact that a short spell of pampering can be just as effective as a holiday. That's not to say that you shouldn't buy a holiday as a luxury gift if you can afford it but that a small pampering session will earn you extreme brownie points in the relationship stakes.

For the more frequent treat of a luxury gift, try luxury chocolates. Particularly is your gift is aimed at a woman. We all know that women love chocolate and a grabbed Mars Bar after the weekly shop is not the same as a partner treating you to a luxury version, especially if they are presented along with a candlelit bath and some relaxing music.

Again, for women there is the luxury treat of some free babysitting services. This only requires time and not vast swathes of money so is a little luxury that anyone could afford. Speaking from a woman's point of view, knowing that your children are well cared for and happy is the ultimate necessity for true relaxation and possibly a little time at the nail salon.

Of course, for grandparents, a luxury gift can mean a present from a beloved grandchild that doesn't actually cost a thing. A hand painting or some such thing that the child has made with their own hands, will have that luxury feel and be treasured forever by the recipient, particularly in this day and age where families are spread out across the globe without enough contact.

Luxury food gifts are a novel idea if you are looking for something different. Of course, with the ever soaring food costs we have at the moment, any food is a luxury but if you're going for the idea of a luxury hamper, remember to better than tins of baked beans and lentils. A luxury hamper should consist of the sorts of things that a person wouldn't normally buy for themselves on an average day. Items such as smoked salmon, possibly caviar, champagne, luxury chocolates and luxury hand-made biscuits will all need to be included.

Men are a little harder to find luxury gifts for without breaking the bank. Depending on what you want to spend, you have a choice of luxury toiletries, leather goods such as wallets or belts, food and drink will also be appreciated and moving up the price scale there are things like day out experiences. A day on a race track in a Ferrari would be a touch of luxury for one day for the special man in your life, just as long as you can put up with him going on about it for weeks on end!

If you are looking for couple luxury gifts, you could always treat them to a night in a decent hotel. That little bit of quality time together will be well received and much appreciated.

So, it would seem, there are plenty of ways of giving a luxury gift, even in our financially difficult times to show the people you love just how much they mean to you.
